全面強直-陣攣性發(fā)作：以突發(fā)意識喪失和全身強直和抽搐為特征，典型的發(fā)作過程可分為強直期、陣攣期和發(fā)作后期。一次發(fā)作持續(xù)時間一般小于5分鐘，常伴有舌咬傷、尿失禁等，并容易造成窒息等傷害。強直-陣攣性發(fā)作可見于任何類型的癲癇病和癲癇病綜合征中。

失神發(fā)作：典型失神表現(xiàn)為突然發(fā)生，動作中止，凝視，叫之不應，可有眨眼，但基本不伴有或伴有輕微的運動癥狀，結(jié)束也突然。通常持續(xù)5-20秒，罕見超過1分鐘者。主要見于兒童失神癲癇病。

強直發(fā)作：表現(xiàn)為發(fā)作性全身或者雙側(cè)肌肉的強烈持續(xù)的收縮，肌肉僵直，使肢體和軀體固定在一定的緊張姿勢，如軸性的軀體伸展背屈或者前屈。常持續(xù)數(shù)秒至數(shù)十秒，但是一般不超過1分鐘。強直發(fā)作多見于有彌漫性器質(zhì)性腦損害的癲癇病患者，一般為病情嚴重的標志，主要為兒童，如Lennox-Gastaut綜合征。
