到底癲癇病發作會導致患者腦癱嗎?專家表示：癲癇病發作不會導致患者腦癱，但會使患者體內出現一系列的功能異常，但是長期的癲癇發作會導致患者腦細胞的損傷，所以確診癲癇病一定要積極系統的對其進行治療。現代醫學及大部分醫生建議患者服用中西醫結合治療，需要長期或終生服用，長期服用抗癲癇藥物會有一定的毒副作用，如果用治療西醫只能控制病情復發，導致新的疾病發生，從而使患者失去治療的信心，使癲癇病更加難治愈。所以選擇中西醫結合治療癲癇是最佳的。

        癲癇發作會造成哪些呼吸疾病

(一)過度通氣綜合征：常見于年長兒，特別是青春期前后。患者常訴陣發性呼吸困難、胸悶或胸痛，有時伴輕微頭痛。偶有暈厥或假性失神發作，可能被誤認為癲癇發作。觀察病人發作時呼吸淺快而不規律，常有嘆氣樣深呼吸。病人常有焦慮或精神障礙，精神治療或抗焦慮治療有效。代謝性酸中毒的病人也常出現陣發性過度通氣，如有機酸血癥、Rett's綜合征等。血pH值和血氣測定及血乳酸、丙酮酸測定有助于鑒別由酸中毒引起的過度通氣。

(二)屏氣發作：屏氣發作見于6個月至6歲的兒童，高峰年齡在6～18個月。發作常有誘因，如生氣、恐懼、興奮或輕微損傷。

(三)呼吸暫停：新生兒及嬰幼兒的呼吸暫停分為兩種：驚厥性呼吸暫停和非驚厥性呼吸暫停，具體介紹如下：

(1)非驚厥性呼吸暫停：常見于新生兒，也可見于足月兒，主要病因為腦干呼吸中樞調節功能不成熟。呼吸暫停常發生在睡眠中，伴有心搏徐緩，長時間的呼吸暫停可伴有青紫，肌張力減低，反應消失及陣攣或肌陣攣樣運動，但不是真正的癲癇發作。如呼吸暫停出現在完全清醒時，可能伴有胃一食道反流。多在嬰兒平臥位喂食時發生。診斷困難時可通過視頻腦電圖協助診斷。

(2)驚厥性呼吸暫停：在生后數小時內即可發生，常伴有其他形式的輕微驚厥癥狀。發作期EEG常可記錄到新生兒的驚厥性放電。發作期心電圖常有心率加快，少有心搏徐緩。
