　　抽搐時，不要用力按壓患者肢體，以免導致骨折或扭傷。發作過后昏睡不醒，盡可能減少搬動，讓患者適當休息，可給吸氧氣。已摔倒在地的患者，應檢查有無外傷，如有外傷，應根據具體情況進行處理。

　　癲癇發作時因為病人意識喪失，跌倒后可造成外傷，痙攣時又可導致關節脫位、骨折、昏迷，可造成吸入性肺炎、窒息等等。如果短期內癲癇大發作接連發生，如果患者始終呈昏迷狀態，則叫癲癇持續狀態，必須及時搶救。

　　癲癇發作即使發作已停止，也必須到醫院去進一步檢查，確定病因，對癥治療，防止復發。有癲癇病史者，必須按醫囑規律性地服用抗癲癇藥物，切忌擅自減量或停服，不然就會導致癲癇病復發或持續發作。必要時一定要立即呼吸叫“120”急救電話，請醫生前來急救。
