癲癇小發(fā)作也叫失神發(fā)作，其癥狀表現(xiàn)為：突發(fā)性精神活動中斷，意識喪失、可伴肌陣攣或自動癥。一次發(fā)作數(shù)秒至十余秒。

某一局部或一側(cè)肢體的強(qiáng)直、陣攣性發(fā)作，或感覺異常發(fā)作，歷時(shí)短暫，意識清楚。若發(fā)作范圍沿運(yùn)動區(qū)擴(kuò)及其他肢體或全身時(shí)可伴意識喪失，這是癲癇單純部分性發(fā)作。

如遇到癲癇病發(fā)作的人，千萬不要慌張，保持冷靜，不要害怕。將其平躺，頭部外向一側(cè)，以避免嘔吐物回流進(jìn)肺。條件允許的情況下用毛巾或手帕折疊成條狀塞進(jìn)嘴里，防止患者要到舌頭。
