全身性發(fā)作。癲癇全身性發(fā)作，也叫癲癇的大發(fā)作，有以下常見的臨床癥狀。全身性發(fā)作患者一半以上有先兆，如頭昏、精神錯亂、上腹部不適、視聽和嗅覺障礙。發(fā)作時(痙攣發(fā)作期)，有些病人先發(fā)出尖銳叫聲，后既有意識喪失而跌倒，有全身肌肉強直、呼吸停頓，頭眼可偏向一側(cè)，數(shù)秒鐘后有陣攣性抽搐，抽搐逐漸加重，歷時數(shù)十秒鐘，陣攣期呼吸恢復，口吐白沫(如舌被咬破出現(xiàn)血沫)。部分病人有大小便失禁、抽搐后全身松弛或進入昏睡(昏睡期)，此后意識逐漸恢復。

部分性癲癇：部分性癲癇為軀體局部肌肉或肢體的抽搐發(fā)作。持續(xù)時間可能比較長，一般沒有意識喪失，嚴重發(fā)作以后抽搐部位的肌肉可有暫時性麻痹。

精神運動型癲癇：精神運動型癲癇，為常見的癲癇發(fā)作形式，僅次于大發(fā)作。最常見的原因是產(chǎn)傷，有的可在損傷數(shù)年或20-30年后引起癲癇發(fā)作，病灶多在顳葉，故又稱顳葉癲癇。臨床癥狀錯綜復雜。
