癲癇病人切忌過饑或過飽，勿暴飲暴食。過度饑餓使血糖水平降低，而低血糖往往誘發(fā)癲癇發(fā)作，而過飽后血糖水平會(huì)快速升高，體內(nèi)胰島素分泌增加，加速葡萄糖代謝，血糖水平先高后低，波動(dòng)很大，也會(huì)誘發(fā)癲癇;暴飲暴食，過度飲水使胃部過度牽張，也容易誘發(fā)癲癇發(fā)作。

癲癇病人應(yīng)注意合理膳食，補(bǔ)充足夠營養(yǎng)，在癲癇病人的漫長治療中，某些西藥會(huì)對(duì)消化系統(tǒng)帶來影響，導(dǎo)致病人營養(yǎng)物質(zhì)的缺乏或代謝障礙，如維生素B6、維生素K、葉酸、鈣、鎂等元素的缺乏。在合理飲食外，注意補(bǔ)充上述物質(zhì)，并多食蔬菜水果。
