癲癇對(duì)患者生命的危險(xiǎn)，要知道，這一疾病雖然不是不治之癥，但是卻屬于難治的慢性疾病，所以癲癇對(duì)生命有危險(xiǎn)嗎要因人而異。目前，首選藥物治療，以中藥為主。

中醫(yī)治療癲癇是根據(jù)祖國醫(yī)學(xué)辯證論治的原則，辯證和辨病相結(jié)合。在西醫(yī)的檢查基礎(chǔ)上，準(zhǔn)確的診斷出疾病的類型，發(fā)作癥狀，然后進(jìn)行辯證的治療癲癇。根據(jù)病癥的輕重和療法的深淺，正氣的盛衰有密切關(guān)系。初期發(fā)病，正氣未衰，痰濁不重，故發(fā)作持續(xù)時(shí)間短，間歇時(shí)間長，如果反復(fù)發(fā)作，正氣漸衰，痰濁不化，愈發(fā)愈頻，是正氣更衰，互為因果，其病也漸重，在治療癲癇上，宜分標(biāo)本虛實(shí)、頻繁發(fā)作時(shí)，以標(biāo)為主，著重豁痰順氣、熄風(fēng)開竅定癇。

平時(shí)以治本為重，宜健脾化痰、補(bǔ)益肝腎，養(yǎng)心安神為輔助治療癲癇。由于治療都有一定的與治療作用無關(guān)的副作用，中醫(yī)與西醫(yī)結(jié)合可以最大限度地減少或抵消副作用。比如有的對(duì)智力可能產(chǎn)生潛在影響，中醫(yī)可以用益智開竅來對(duì)抗或抵消;有的對(duì)肝功可能產(chǎn)生影響，可同時(shí)保肝，這樣就可以放心的長期服用治療。由于采用了綜合治療的方法，比單一治療效果要好得多，使一些久治不愈的頑固性羊角風(fēng)、難治性羊角風(fēng)得以康復(fù)。
