晚期癲癇患者會突然喪失意識、常見的發(fā)作表現(xiàn)是兩目上翻、牙關(guān)緊閉、上肢屈伸，下肢伸直、大小便失禁、面部蒼白或青紫，常咬傷舌肌、可有豬叫(或羊叫)聲，繼全身強(qiáng)直痙攣，幾分鐘后全身抽搐后自然停止，口吐白沫或血沫(舌和口腔粘膜咬破時(shí))，最后肌肉松弛，病人呈昏迷或昏睡狀態(tài)，臉色漸漸正常，神志逐漸清醒。大發(fā)作時(shí)，病人意識喪失，跌倒后可導(dǎo)致外傷，痙攣時(shí)又可引起關(guān)節(jié)脫位、骨折、昏迷，可導(dǎo)致吸人性肺炎、窒息等等。患者應(yīng)該在早期的時(shí)候就將疾病治好。
