(1)顱腦外傷

外傷后癲癇的發(fā)生率比普通人要高，昏迷時間越長，腦實質(zhì)損傷越重，癲癇發(fā)生率越高。如急性期顱內(nèi)血腫壓迫，腦實質(zhì)損傷后水腫導(dǎo)致的顱內(nèi)高壓，都可導(dǎo)致癲癇病發(fā)作，顱腦手術(shù)后的損傷、腦挫裂傷后腦萎縮導(dǎo)致大腦供血供氧不足，腦細胞功能紊亂，發(fā)生癲癇。

(2)顱內(nèi)感染

如各種腦炎、腦膜炎等這些疾病，導(dǎo)致大腦皮層炎癥和水腫，引起癲癇發(fā)作。后遺癥期由于腦實質(zhì)內(nèi)瘢痕形成和腦膜粘連，也能導(dǎo)致癲癇發(fā)作。所以顱內(nèi)感染應(yīng)早期診斷，積極治療，減少后遺癥和并發(fā)癥的發(fā)生。

(3)腦寄生蟲病

隨著社會的不斷進步，衛(wèi)生條件的改善，腦寄生蟲病引起的癲癇有所減少。由于吃了被蟲卵污染的食物或水源，使蟲卵進入體內(nèi)，隨血循環(huán)寄生于大腦皮層，引起癲癇發(fā)作。在生活中葉有些人喜歡吃路邊攤，這些路邊攤衛(wèi)生條件都無法保證，人吃了大量的帶有寄生蟲的食物也是誘發(fā)癲癇的原因。

(4)酗酒

酗酒也是成人癲癇發(fā)作的病因，因為長期大量飲酒，可引起一系列的疾病如胰腺炎、胃炎、心律失常、肝損害、造血功能和免疫功能異常外，最主要的是神經(jīng)系統(tǒng)毒性，使體內(nèi)維生素b1缺乏，造成腦組織代謝障礙，發(fā)生腦萎縮，造成癲癇發(fā)作，對患者的記憶力也有很大的影響，導(dǎo)致記憶力減退，甚至引起癡呆。急性乙醇中毒，可直接引起癲癇發(fā)作。另外酒后駕車或者打架等事故，造成顱腦外傷，可引起外傷后導(dǎo)致繼發(fā)性癲癇。
