3.繼發性癲癇:

繼發性癲癇亦稱癥狀性癲癇，是由于其他疾病導致的癲癇發作，癲癇發作是原發病的一個癥狀，如腦的局部或彌散性病變，全身性代謝或中毒性病變等。其中顱內疾病繼發的癲癇病最常見。所以今后隨著檢查手段的進步，肯定原發性和隱源性的范疇會越來越少。
