2.癲癇的全身強直-陣攣發(fā)作(大發(fā)作)：突然意識喪失，繼之先強直后陣攣性痙攣。常伴尖叫、面色青紫、尿失禁、舌咬傷、口吐白沫或血沫、瞳孔散大。持續(xù)數(shù)十秒或數(shù)分鐘后痙攣發(fā)作自然停止，進入昏睡狀態(tài)。醒后有短時間的頭昏、煩躁、疲乏，對發(fā)作過程不能回憶。若發(fā)作持續(xù)不斷，一直處于昏迷狀態(tài)者稱大發(fā)作持續(xù)狀態(tài)，常危及生命。

3.癲癇的植物神經(jīng)性發(fā)作(間腦性)：可有頭痛型、腹痛型、肢痛型、暈厥型或心血管性發(fā)作。

4.癲癇的單純部分性發(fā)作：某一局部或一側(cè)肢體的強直、陣攣性發(fā)作，或感覺異常發(fā)作，歷時短暫，意識清楚。發(fā)作范圍沿運動區(qū)擴及其他肢體或全身時可伴意識喪失。發(fā)作后患肢可有暫時性癱瘓。

5.癲癇的失神發(fā)作(小發(fā)作)：突發(fā)性精神活動中斷，意識喪失、可伴肌陣攣或自動癥。一次發(fā)作數(shù)秒至十余秒。腦電圖出現(xiàn)2-3次/秒棘慢或尖慢波綜合。
