(2)如果發現患者有先兆癥狀時，癲癇病的護理措施是迅速讓患者平臥床上，或就近躺在平整的地方。即使來不及做上述安排，發現患者要倒時，應立即扶著患者，順勢讓其倒下，防止突然摔倒造成的損傷。

(3)患者強直期頭多過度后仰，下頜過張，可造成頸椎壓縮性骨折，或下頜脫臼。這時應一手托著患者枕部稍用力，以阻止其頸部過伸，一手托下頜，以對抗其下頜過張。

(4)癲癇大發作時呼吸道分泌物較多，易造成呼吸道阻塞或吸入性肺炎。自大發作開始，癲癇病的護理措施應將患者頭側向一方，以便分泌物自然流出。此外，應將患者衣領及扣子解開，保持呼吸道通暢。

(5)陣攣期患者四肢肌肉收縮，易造成關節脫臼和四肢擦傷。這時可適當用力按壓四肢大關節處，限制其抽動幅度。但是不要用力過猛，強行按壓，否則會造成骨折或肌肉損傷。
