引起發(fā)作增加的原因主要是孕期孕婦體重增加，血容量加大，肝臟腎臟對藥物的代謝和排除，胃腸道對藥物的吸收下降，從而使穩(wěn)態(tài)水平的血藥濃度下降。另一個主要原因是孕婦害怕抗癲癇藥物影響胎兒的正常發(fā)育，在妊娠期間自行減少用量或停藥。
